As mentioned in the “about” page, this site is just a repository/journal to record the studying I’m doing with the tarot. You are welcome to join me in my study, add your own interpretations and guidance, or move on like you never saw this site… the choice is yours.
For the record, I am not claiming to be a psychic. I’m not claiming to be a tarot expert. What you see here shouldn’t be taken as the gospel truth in all things tarot. I am learning. I am finding my own way – and this site is just my record of my learning journey.
As for the particulars, the deck I am using is the Gilded Tarot by Ciro Marchetti and published by Llewellyn Worldwide. I will try to add a picture of each card as I study it, however if I receive an email or message from the publisher or artist asking me to stop, I will abide by their request.
In addition – the title just SAYS “card a day”… it may be “card a week” or month or whatever. I might also include my study info on spreads, logs of my personal readings, and things like that. Again, this is all just my personal “learning the tarot” journal. So, there’s no telling what you’re going to find on a given day.
Playing cards were the inspiration for the origin of tarot. In the early days, tarot was also used to create stories and poems. These poems in praise of courtiers were called Tarocchi Appropriati. In time, these cards became connected with divination.
